Recycling Policy

The District Committee voted in 1990 to make separation of materials for recycling mandatory for use of the District Facility. This policy recognizes the direction most of the world is headed, is obviously good for the environment, and perhaps just important, it saves tax dollars by both avoiding disposal fees and by generating revenue. The dollar benefit to the taxpayers of the District during 2015 was $168,027.14. The most common categories found in the household waste stream are listed below. If you have questions on other items please ask any member of the Staff or email us. The Staff is here to assist you, while assuring compliance with regulations.
